Upcycle an old ladies shirt or charity shop find into a stunning new summer top!

The topics we aim to cover in this lesson:

• Cutting the old shirt
• Removing the sleeves and collar
• Creating a new armhole finish
• Sewing a channel for the neckline trim
• Cutting strips from the sleeves to make a ‘ribbon trim’ for the neckline

Materials needed:

• Either an old shirt or buy a pretty one (with collar neck) from a charity shop
• A reel of matching thread
• Matching ribbon 1.5cm wide x 1.5m (if you want a contrasting trim to tie)

We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking.

Materials are available to purchase in our shop.
